about

This is a documentary with some unknown Cuban and Afro-Cuban rhythms such as Simalé, Yecún, Papa Cun cun, Guachá, Guasón and Picadillo among others. Influenced by the African roots that have enriched the Cuban rhythms. The fundamental objective is for them to know that great evolution of percussionist creators where barriers and traditional schemes were broken that gave way to a successful transformation of new patterns, so that in Cuban dances we could feel the flavor of the Batá drum fusions, conga drums and more. We want to pay tribute to those great Cuban musicians. We hope you enjoy the recording it as much as we did. Welcome!!!

My fundamental objective is that they know the evolution of Cuban percussionist creators. Many unknown creators.
This great evolution started in Cuba in the 58s 🇨🇺

Barriers were broken, traditional schemes, which gave way to a transformation in a successful way. New patterns emerged so that Cuban dancers could feel the flavor of the bata drum performances, with 3 tumbadoras, timbal, drums, güiro, chekere, maracas ...

All this influence is fed 100% of the great African roots, which completely trapped Cuba.
I consider myself fortunate to have met and shared with all the percussionists honored in this Documentary (method).
